Fencing & Bollards

Our Fencing and Bollard Installation Process

The compound fence serves as the primary line of defense for your assets against the outside world. Establishing a secure perimeter with high-caliber access is crucial. However, these fences are vulnerable to harsh weather conditions, aging, cattle damage, break-in attempts, and previous subpar construction.

Our comprehensive tower fence services include complete replacements, fabric-only replacements, the addition of cattle protection barriers, gate installations, and repairs, ensuring the security of your equipment and facilities. While it may seem standard to have buried concrete around every fence post, 9-gauge chain link mesh, and appropriate bracing, we frequently encounter sites lacking these essential elements. Although these fences may initially appear cost-effective, they prove unsustainable in the long run. We’ve witnessed instances where fellow utility contractors ran into rock underground while attempting to auger and install fence line posts. Their solution was to cut fence posts off at ground level and then conceal the post ends in just 2 inches of compound gravel to avoid the expense of addressing the underground rock present on site to correctly install the posts. This subpar fence lasted just 18 months from “install” before we were sent to replace it.

Guy anchor barriers play a vital role in safeguarding the integrity of your tower against potential collisions. Surprisingly, anchors without protection are not uncommon. Collisions involving guy anchors could lead to a collapse, posing risks to safety and your asset. Our offerings include guy anchor chain link fencing, bollard barriers in powder-coated, painted, or raw steel options, along with heavy-duty cattle barrier systems. Providing visibility to farmers, especially in crop fields, is essential to preventing guy anchor incidents.

It’s important to note that specific steps and material choices can vary based on factors such as climate, soil conditions, construction modalities, and intended use. Consulting with professional services such as civil or geotechnical engineering, or hydrologists is always a good idea to tailor the installation process to the unique circumstances of your project.
